BSA Training/Certification Resources

The Building Performance Institute (BPI) offers nationally recognized training, certification, accreditation and quality assurance programs for the home performance industry. With the decline of new home sales, mandated utility company energy optimization programs and the federal government emphasis on creating jobs in energy efficiency and renewable energy the home performance or retrofit market is re-creating itself for expansion across the United States. The Building Performance Institute has been creating national standards for this industry since 1983. Individuals and contractors can obtain nationally recognized certification or accreditation to nationally recognized standards with the Building Performance Institute. The Building Science Academy is an affiliate of BPI to provide the training resources necessary to obtain national certification. All BSA classes are also BPI recognized and count toward continuing education credits for certified professionals.

Courses for BPI certification offered by BSA include:

In addition to BPI certification courses, Building Science Academy has developed their own courses and curriculum to prepare individuals, companies, government organizations, weatherization programs and others on the education and required skills necessary to enter the Home Performance and Retrofit Market.
