Training for Home Performance Contracting/Installation

The students will learn what performance contracting means. Health and Safety procedures, interpretation on energy audits, building air sealing, insulation types and application. This class will train the students on actual installation procedures and product usage. Completion of this class will provide the students with the foundation for retrofitting an existing home into an energy efficient home.

  • Health and safety/MSDS sheets
  • Interpretation of energy audits
  • Building air sealing
  • Insulation types and applications
  • Attic ventilation-calculating and balancing. Soffit venting/roof venting
  • Basement and crawlspaces
  • Windows/doors-sealing/replacement
  • Professional ethics, conduct and communications

Training Period: 3 days total classroom training

Training Cost: $1050/student
